Responsible Business at Green Hotel in Prague
Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the Rezidor Hotel Group broader commitment to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being and health and safety. The hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and the Rezidor Hotel Group corporate international charity organisation, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world.

Following are some examples of the Responsible Business activities and achievements of this green hotel in Prague:

• Provides refreshments and gifts for both the Children's Home and the Retirement Home in the city of Pysely under a long-term cooperation agreement.
• Sponsors a tree-planting program in the garden of the Pipan Bilingual School for children with hearing impairments.
• Provides refreshments every year for the Winter Concert organised by the Pipan Bilingual School.
• During the past several years, the hotel has also supported the Summer Garden Festival, organised by the Pipan Bilingual School. This festival is held in the garden, where trees and bushes donated by the hotel were jointly planted in previous years.
